The Veteran Games will consist of two days of Heats commencing on 30th September 2023 followed by the Finals
Day on 2nd October 2023, coinciding with the King’s Birthday holiday in QLD.
The competition features several military-style events, including a Team Obstacle Course Challenge, Team Tug-of-War Competition, and other surprise activities designed to test the teamwork and problem-solving skills of competitors.
These events require participants to draw upon their military experience, while also requiring a high level of physical fitness.
Evening of Friday 29th September: Team Registration Day
Pre-event team check-in, event schedule announced, competitors welcome/briefing & basic fitness tests.
Saturday 30th September: Heats Day 1
Sunday 1st October: Heats Day 2
Monday 2nd October: Finals Day
Additional day-of event details will be announced from July 1st.
Cost: $75 per person, with a total of $600 per team of 8
Registrations open: 22nd April, 2023
Registrations close: 1st September, 2023
Refunds policy: 50% refund will be available for teams unable to compete who withdraw prior to 1st September. After this date, no refund will be offered.

Ready to register your team?
The Gold Coast has been selected as the location to host the inaugural Veteran Games. This decision was based on several factors, including the high concentration of young veterans in the South-East QLD region, beautiful weather, endless tourist attractions and the opportunity for family attendance and activities. While the majority of event locations are still to be confirmed, a number of suitable venues are currently under consideration. The event location will be developed into a festival experience that caters to families and the general public.
