The Darwin Heats bring Australia’s premier military inspired team competition to the Top End, hosted at Robertson Barracks with the Northern Territory Government and 1 Brigade. Teams of 8 take on the Team Obstacle Course Challenge and surprise events revealed on the day, drawn from military service and combat. Every event is scored on Time, Technique and Teamwork, and the champion team is sponsored to compete at the National Finals in South East Queensland.
Compete
Any person who has served within the Military is eligible to compete. Former or current serving personnel, Australian or overseas. Form your team of 8 and take on the country’s best.
Volunteer
You do not have to compete to be part of the day. Help with check in, course support, hydration stations and pack down, and keep the Heats running for every team on the ground.

Know before you Register
Eligibility
- Open to anyone who has served within the Military
- Former or current serving personnel
- Australian or overseas service
- One team per competitor
Team Rules
- Captain registers the team and team name first
- Captain manages check in and communications
- Substitutions managed by the Captain with event staff before an activity
- Time slots allocated post registration
What to wear
- Camouflage pants, your choice
- Boots or shoes, your choice
- T shirt or team shirt, your choice
Nine Things to Drill Before September
- Stretcher and stores carry, 100 to 200m
- Swimming 50m in clothes
- Walls and cargo net fundamentals
- Tourniquets, splints and bandages
- Shuttle runs and short sprints

- 20kg to 50kg carriage, solo and pairs
